Albert Street Physiotherapy currently uses the latest technology available to analyse an individual’s gait pattern. We take numerous scans of your foot in static standing, dynamic squatting and dynamic walking positions across a force plate. The GaitScan force plate contains thousands of tiny sensors that scan at 300x per second to capture the distribution of pressure through your foot over time. The orthotics produced from our laboratory are designed by using dynamic analysis measured on a force plate, which closely simulates your foot in walking and running positions- as opposed to most orthotics produced elsewhere which are designed primarily on static analysis. Custom made orthotics help by realigning and stabilizing the bones in your feet, in order to restore your natural walking pattern.
